Susy is one of the few people I interviewed who I didn’t know beforehand. She replied to one of my posts on Facebook, saying she had a similar project in progress and was keen to meet me. Indeed, she has the same questions I do, trying to figure out, among other things, what it means to be a woman.
Susy seems to smile at life, people and the Universe in a most generous and genuine way. After her interview, we continued chatting and realised we believed in the same things.
Here are the responses of another daughter of the Universe, found by chance:
Oh! Life is great!
What does trust mean for you?
Susy - Trust is like the main essence for me, in life. Love and trust. It’s about connecting with others, also there’s trust in oneself.
What does it mean to be a woman?
Susy - Being a woman means having access to special things. It gives me a chance to be really romantic and emotional, and it’s allowed for me, which is nice. It’s like a big responsibility as well. Because I know that I would like to have children and be a mother. There’s a feeling of responsibility growing with my age. Sometimes I feel the heaviness about being a woman.
Is there something you believe in?
Susy - I believe in the present moment. I've always believed that even the worst people in the world have something beautiful about them, inside. I always hope or believe that everyone has that, even when they’re trying to hide it. Because I’m working with people with different personalities and I always believe there’s something beautiful inside each of them.
Is there anything you hide from yourself? Or from others?
Susy - Maybe I’m blind to it but I don’t think I hide anything from myself. There is some trauma from my childhood… things that I experienced and that I don’t want to live with it. I just let it go and closed the door. I know they’re here but I don’t want to open this. It’s the past. Then with others… am I really open? Am I really myself? Some people have asked me this before and I really don’t know what to answer. I’m trying to be myself with everyone.
Is there anything you’re grateful for?
Susy - Sure! Many things. I’m trying to find a special thing in each day to be grateful for. Like, every single day, I live. I get a chance to live my life. I could have followed someone else’s path but no, I decided to make my own and to really be myself. I’m really grateful that I became myself, it makes me happy everyday. I live my parents’ dream life so… I got to choose this and I’m really grateful for all the decisions that led me here. It brought me very beautiful moments and they inspired other people to living their life to the fullest as well. Even today, as I was walking down the street, I was thinking “oh life is great!”.
